Celebrating Dolphin and Sea Lion Day

Throughout the month of May, Dolphin Discovery commemorated Dolphin and Sea Lion Day through a series of educational and environmental awareness activities that reinforced our commitment to marine life conservation and the education of future generations. For the second consecutive year, we brought both celebrations together under our environmental education program, To Love is to Educate, bringing learning experiences to different communities and spaces.

As part of this initiative, we carried out activities at our habitats and hosted a special event at the Teatro de la Ciudad in Cancún, where students, teachers, and families participated in workshops, presentations, and interactive activities focused on the protection of marine mammals and their ecosystems. In addition, we promoted inclusion through the participation of a Mexican Sign Language interpreter and encouraged environmental action through activities such as PET collection campaigns. These efforts reflect our purpose of continuing to create learning opportunities that inspire respect, conservation, and care for our planet.
