Within the framework of International Women’s Day, which is commemorated on March 8th, our Zoomarine multi-experience park located in Italy will carry out a series of projects dedicated to women.
On March 12th they will have a day full of stories, faces, testimonies and heroic actions, such as that of policewoman Martina Pigliapoco, who has been in the Army for seven years and participated in a spectacular rescue in November 2021, in which she avoided death of a woman. Due to this intervention, she awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic “for the courage and sensitivity shown in the exercise of her duties”.
That same day, the park will host the second edition of the international award for gender equality “We are all daisies”, inspired by the wild flower considered a symbol of love, simple in appearance but incredibly resistant, and a little in the historic pizza used by women as a ploy to make a distress call under the guise of ordering a pizza. This award will be given to women who have stood out in the world of volunteering, culture, journalism, entertainment, among others, with the collaboration of “bon’t worry” (NGO) and “PizzaGirls” (television program ).
Thanks to the presence of associations such as Arcobaleno della Speranza, Assolei, City Angels, Strade Diffuse, Centro Antiviolenza Obiettivo UomoArcobaleno della Speranza, Assolei, City Angels, Strade Diffuse and Centro Antiviolenza Obiettivo Uomo, it will be possible to create an environment of solidarity where volunteers will commit to supporting, defending, and helping working grandmothers, mothers, and daughters every day.
Finally, Zoomarine will offer free entry to women with the purchase of a 10 euro ticket plus free participation in one of their Meet the Animal programs. Part of the proceeds from this promotion will be donated to the Assolei Association of Rome.
