To Love Is To Care
Cancun, Quintana Roo, July 11, 2019.- Within the framework of World Dog Day, the responsible pet ownership campaign ‘To Love is To Care’, announced that it will celebrate its second anniversary with a Pet Friendly Mega Bazar on Sunday July 21st. from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the corporate offices of Dolphin Discovery. The main objective of the event is to raise funds for sterilizations and support for rescue and animal welfare associations. It is also intended to exceed the goal of last year where 550 kg of dog food was collected to donate them to the shelters and associations that Amar es Cuidar supports.
Through the campaign, people can obtain a dog plate with a symbolic donation of 20 pesos or more. With these donations “To Love is To Care” takes action for the street fauna that lives in the city. At the Mega Bazar, attendees can find products and services for pets such as: plates, clothing, accessories, medicines, food, vaccines, dog aesthetic services, costume contest for pets with recycled material, adoption, dog food, etc. In addition, there will be talks on animal welfare and animal behavior taught by canine psychologists, veterinarians and expert trainers on the subject.
They announced that not all stands will be exclusive for pets, as there will also be a food pavilion that will include Oaxacan appetizers, tacos, ceviche, snacks and desserts; as well as entertainment for the whole family, such as face painting, recycling workshops, a bee care workshop, plants, soaps and handmade products for personal use, raffles, an art exhibition with cause, music, surprises and much more.
On the day of the event, they will carry out a great ‘Perrifa’ (raffle) that will have as a prize products and services for pets granted by all the exhibitors, including activities of Dolphin Discovery. Participating in this Perrifa (raffle) is very simple: people who donate 1 kg of dog food or 1 pet toy will be creditors of 1 ticket to participate, so the more kilos or toys they donate, the more opportunities they will have to win.
In addition to the event, on Saturday, July 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., there will be an art activity at Plaza Puerto Cancún Marina Town Center, which will consist of the owners and their pets immortalizing their prints on a mural made by the group of urban artists “X La Pinta”, this in order to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership.
During the press conference, the achievements that the campaign has had during these two years were announced, which are:
– More than 300 sterilizations
– Participation in 80 events
– More than 4,100 followers on social networks
