The permanent campaign for responsible pet ownership ‘To Love is To Care’, created in 2017 by The Dolphin Company, announced today that it has completed four years of helping dogs and cats living in shelters or on the streets. The above, through the donation of food, sterilizations, medical or cleaning supplies that contribute to the welfare of the animals.
As a Socially Responsible Company for more than 16 years, The Dolphin Company created To Love is To Care, a campaign to make dog and cat owners aware of their responsible ownership, offering them an economically accessible option of pet tags in exchange for a donation entirely directed to the benefit of those animals that do not have a home.
During the four years of To Love is To Care, the following has been achieved:
- More than 14 thousand name tags delivered.
- Participation in more than 130 events.
- More than 4,800 followers on social media.
- More than 350 donated sterilizations.
- More than 4,500 kg of croquettes donated to shelters and rescuers.
- Support for more than 15 street puppies and kittens that have required medical intervention.
“For The Dolphin Company, the social well-being of the environment in which it is present is paramount, and we consider the dogs and kittens in vulnerable situations of great importance, for whom we decided to create To Love is To Care. During these four years of the campaign, our actions have always revolved around the reduction of street fauna through sterilization, name tags for pets that have a home, to give them the opportunity to return home in case of getting lost and prevent them from becoming part of the street population, promote the adoption of pets instead of buying them and cover their basic needs, such as access to food, medical care or affection”, said Cecilia Aguilar, Public Relations Coordinator for The Dolphin Company and Responsible for the To Love is To Care campaign.
Today at 7:00 p.m., To Love is To Care will launch a call on its social media to invite its followers to participate in its ‘Anniversary Collection’, which will consist of obtaining a pass for the raffle of tours to Garrafon Park, Ocean Riders, Speed Boat, Catamaran and Columbus, for every 5 kg of donated dogs and cat’s food. In addition, they will give a name tag to each donor who attends with their pet and immortalizes their footprint on the anniversary commemorative canvas, showing that pets with a home can support those who have not had the same luck. Those who wish to participate may attend the offices of The Dolphin Company from June 30th, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, and until Friday, July 16th; the winners will be announced on Monday, July 19th at 10:00 am on the To Love is To Care Facebook fan page.
