The Dolphin Company Welcomes Miami Seaquarium to Their Family of Parks

Miami, FL – March 4^th, 2022 – MS Leisure Company, a subsidiary of The Dolphin Company, announced today that it has received the Class C License as Exhibitor under the Animal Welfare Act from the USDA to operate the Miami Seaquarium. With this license, MS Leisure has completed the process to receive the Seaquarium effective today, March 4^th, 2022 and take full responsibility of the iconic attraction for generations to come in Miami-Dade County.

“We are very excited to finally have completed the process to proceed with the operation and administration of the Miami Seaquarium,” said Eduardo Albor, CEO for The Dolphin Company. “This is indeed a process that could only be completed with the support and guidance of Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and County Commissioner Regalado, who, like our company, are also committed to seeing the Miami Seaquarium once again become the family attraction many of us enjoyed in our youth and to make it an educational opportunity for new generations, educating our community about the value of aquatic species and the sustainability of the oceans. I also want to acknowledge and give credit to the real heroes, the people who have dedicated their lives taking care of all the animals in this unique park, including the rescued manatees, sea lions, dolphins and indeed our beloved Lolita.”

“Today marks a new day for the Miami Seaquarium and all of the creatures within its care,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. “The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s report clears the way for Miami-Dade County’s approval of the Seaquarium lease transfer from Palace Entertainment to The Dolphin Company. Our shared priority remains providing the highest standard of care for all the Seaquarium’s marine inhabitants, including the beloved orca Lolita (Tokitae).”

The Dolphin Company is inviting the community to once again experience the magic of the Miami Seaquarium and appreciates the community’s patience as many changes take place over the following months, some of them unseen as they will be part of the behind-the-scenes aquatic life support system improvements.
