Let’s Put Ourselves in Their Place

Garrafon Park and Dolphin Discovery, both on Isla Mujeres, received a group of more than 50 children, adolescents and adults from the DIF Quintana Roo within the framework of World Down Syndrome Day (March 21st) and World Autism Awareness Day (April 2nd).

With the aim of carrying out various activities for the development and inclusion of people with disabilities in our society, our Isla Mujeres parks received patients, relatives of patients, therapists and doctors of down syndrome and autism to provide them with an unforgettable experience. meeting the wonderful dolphins and contemplating the incredible landscape that this island offers.

On April 2nd we will be receiving a group of approx. 50 people to carry out other activities, this time to raise awareness about autism; where in addition to the experience in the parks, workshops will be held on terminology, awareness in the treatment of people with disabilities and Mexican sign language, called “Put yourself in my place”.

For us it is very important to raise awareness in the community for the full inclusion of people with disabilities in our society, they are an important part of it and deserve the same treatment and respect as all individuals.
