Gulf World Reintegrates Turtles Longclaw and Ronaldo

Today, the Gulf World Marine Institute (GWMI) in Florida reintegrated two sea turtles named Longclaw and Ronaldo into the Gulf of Mexico, who were rescued and rehabilitated by the team of Specialists and Veterinarians.

Both turtles were accidentally caught by fishermen from the Russel-Fields pier, they called the pier managers, who along with lifeguards from Panama City Beach, worked to rescue both turtles to rehabilitate them from more than ten hook interactions at GWMI.

GWMI would like to thank everyone involved in the rescue of these pier-caught turtles. If you see a stranded or deceased dolphin, whale or sea turtle, please immediately report to Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission at 1-888-404-3922 or #FWC on your cell phone.
