Mexico City, September 6, 2019. – On September 4th and 5th, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) presented its first congress for the entertainment industry in the Hilton Reforma Hotel in Mexico City. During this congress, there were more than 20 expert speakers from the sector, who transmitted their experiences to the attendees; among them, Mr. Eduardo Albor, CEO of Grupo Dolphin and Dr. Alfonso Delgado, Executive Director for Mexico and Latin America, of the same company.
Mr. Eduardo Albor, CEO of Grupo Dolphin, participated in a panel called “Growth and Expansion Alternatives”, together with Xavier López of the company Kidzania and Javier Molinar of Ventura Capital Privado, where he talked about organic growth and acquisition. In his speech, he explained that organic growth is one that occurs from scratch, that is, it is built, while the acquisition is the purchase of an existing property. Likewise, he gave as an example the cases of the most recent acquisitions of Grupo Dolphin such as Marineland in Florida, Aquafelix and Acquajoss in Italy.
On the other hand, Dr. Alfonso Delgado, Executive Director for Mexico and Latin America, of Grupo Dolphin, participated in the panel “Experiences and immersion projects”, where he shared with the assistants how the staff is trained so that the experience of the guests are unforgettable at the same time as educational, mentioned that the welfare of marine mammals that live under their care is a priority and named the values that govern Grupo Dolphin: Commitment, Passion, Honesty, Leadership and Perseverance. All this together with Javier Ahedo, Co-founder and CEO of Inspark, Mexico, Taylor Jeffs, President and Creative Director of Legacy Entertainment, USA and David Quintana, Development Director of Grupo Xcaret, Mexico.
