Grupo Dolphin Leads Trash Challenge

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo to June 5, 2019. – Within the framework of the World Environment Day that has been celebrated since 1974, Grupo Dolphin, through its program “Amar es Educar”, made for the second time a cleaning of green areas in the municipality of Solidaridad, this with the aim of raising awareness among the population about the amount of waste that is generated and that affects the environment.

The appointment was in the Chemuyil pavilion with Av. CTM from 9:30 – 11:30 am, where with the support of 29 volunteers from the CEIC high school, 16 garbage bags with 80 kg of waste were collected.

“Every year, World Environment Day focuses on a different topic, this time it is dedicated to air pollution, also caused by the indiscriminate burning of garbage. That is why today we come together for a common good: to help the planet, “said Paula Lomán, Coordinator of Environmental Education of Grupo Dolphin.

Dolphin Group, with its Dolphin Saving Oceans program, extended the invitation to its next beach cleanup to commemorate the Day of the Oceans that will be celebrated next Saturday, June 8 in the Mayan portal at 8:00 am.
