Cancun, Quintana Roo, April 4, 2019. – To commemorate the World Dolphin Day, which is celebrated on April 14, Grupo Dolphin announced at a press conference that on April 11 it will hold a series of conferences given by experts on issues of welfare, conservation and protection of dolphins, with the aim of raising awareness in the community about the importance of taking care of the oceans and the species that inhabit it.
The event will take place at the Ka’Yok Planetarium in Cancun from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The speakers of this edition are: Rosy Cerrillos with the theme “Trust and respect” is our key, Dr. Nataly Castelblanco of the University of Quintana Roo (UQROO) that will expose “Problems associated with tourism for the dolphins of Sian ka’an “, Manuel Garduño, who will speak about the Rescue Team, Dr. Alfonso Delgado and Mauricio Cortéz, who will teach the theme” Care for our dolphins “, Mariana Rocha González from the ‘Grupo Vértice Anáhuac’, which will explain the importance of integrating the themes of environmental awareness in groups of young people “and Dr. Roberto Sánchez with the theme” Animal welfare and technologies (care for dolphins and recent Brookfield zoo studies) “.
Likewise, the dance group “Districts Art” will participate and inaugurate the event. Attendees will enjoy interactive stands that will have activities such as puzzles, data about the anatomy of dolphins, dolphin sounds, a presentation of the Amar es Educar program and Isla Contoy will also be present with a stand about their ‘zero plastic’ initiative ‘
