Dolphin Discovery Puerto Aventuras Welcomes Club De Amigos Teletón

Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo March 16th, 2019.- Today, 50 volunteers of Grupo Dolphin and the staff of the habitat of Puerto Aventuras, welcomed 60 children and adolescents with disabilities, 15 companions and 50 young volunteers of Club de Amigos Teletón who lived the unforgettable experience of swimming with dolphins, they hit some piñatas, draw, did face painting, had fun with the mascots, and enjoyed the story called “The adventures of Pini, Tursi, and Mydas”, written by Mrs. Donna Kassewitz and illustrated by Noel Kassewitz.

The rehabilitation and child inclusion center, Teletón (CRIT) of Quintana Roo has rehabilitated 726 children that thanks to a comprehensive rehabilitation treatment they can develop themselves and live in a family, school, or work environment. All this was possible thanks to the effort of the different benefactors, such as Dolphin Discovery.

“All this would not have been possible without Dolphin Discovery, which is a company that with its staff has helped this project, reaching out to every single heart of the boys, girls, and adolescents so that they can make their dream of swimming with dolphins come true with their friends from Teletón”, said Alan Herrera, Coordinator of special projects of CRIT Quintana Roo.

The objective is to get children with disabilities and young volunteers together through recreational programs, carrying out activities in public spaces to promote friendship bonds between the children and society, strengthen inclusion, and develop the Self-esteem of the children, their confidence, and motivation in their lives. The swim with dolphins being an incentive and a wonderful experience in the water makes it a better experience. For Dolphin Discovery it is fundamental that the little ones can get close to these wonderful animals since it generates more awareness about the care of the species and the marine ecosystems.

“We are happy to receive for the second time Club Amigos Teletón in our beautiful habitat of Puerto Aventuras. This experience allows us to be aware and empathic with the daily lives of the people with disabilities in order to create together a more inclusive world. We are also proud to count once again with the participation of our valuable volunteers of Dolphin Discovery”, said Guadalupe Jiménez, Board Member of Fundación Dolphin Discovery I.A.P.
