As a Socially Responsible Company, Dolphin Discovery promotes the conservation of this endangered marine mammal, within the framework of “International Manatee Day”, to be celebrated this September.
Cancun, Quintana Roo, September 2nd, 2020.- Dolphin Discovery, the largest family of dolphins in the world and a proud member of The Dolphin Company, announced at a press conference, that will hold for the fourth consecutive year, a program of free educational events, on the occasion of the “International Manatee Day”, which is celebrated on September 7th.
As a Socially Responsible Company, Dolphin Discovery will carry out various activities from September 7th to 13th, with the aim of sharing valuable information that helps raise awareness about the care that this species requires.
“For The Dolphin Company this event is very important, since we carry out activities that strengthen efforts for the conservation of manatees and on this occasion, we will carry out a series of talks and dynamics that foster empathy and affection for this beautiful species”, said Rosy Cerrillos, Manager of Marine Mammal Specialists from The Dolphin Company.
As part of the event, there will be a series of educational conferences for the whole family, whose main theme will be the care and conservation of manatees and their environment.

There will also be various dynamics on social media, such as weekly trivia, the launch of educational videos on YouTube and a drawing contest on Facebook, in order to involve the little ones in the house and give them the opportunity to meet the wonderful ones in person. manatees.
In this edition, the program will have the participation of prestigious institutions such as ADEMM (Association of Specialists in Marine Mammals), AZCARM (Association of Zoos, Hatcheries and Aquariums of Mexico) and the Institute of Culture and Arts of Quintana Roo.
The press conference was attended by Lic. Rosy Cerrillos, Corporate Manager of Marine Mammal Specialists at The Dolphin Company, Lic. Paula Lomán, Coordinator of Environmental Education at The Dolphin Company, and Biologist Silvia Becerra from ADEMM, who together, encouraged the population to participate in the dynamics and in the protection of the Manatee as a species in danger of extinction.
