Cancun, Quintana Roo, March 5, 2020.- Dolphin Discovery, the #1 company for swimming with dolphins and marine parks in the world and the Patronato para la Cultura y las Artes de Cancún A.C., a cultural organization whose mission is to be an engine of artistic, musical and social integration to promote the harmonious development of Cancun, will present the concert “Water Music”.

I invite everyone to join in the celebration of the anniversary of Dolphin Discovery, as well as to “immerse themselves” in the music of this magnificent work “Water Music”, performed by the Sinfónica de Cancún“, mentioned Mr. Eduardo Albor, CEO of The Dolphin Co.
The Patronato para la Cultura y las Artes de Cancún promotes and operates the Orquesta Sinfónica de Cancún, which represents the musical cultural movement with the greatest impact in our state.
Manuel García Jurado, President of the Patronato para la Cultura y las Artes de Cacún A.C., declared: “For Cancun this year 2020 is special, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our city and the ninth season of the Orquesta Sinfónica In this vein, we are delighted that Dolphin Discovery is celebrating its 25th anniversary with us. This concert is the result of the sum of efforts of two organizations, for the benefit of culture in Cancun: the Patronato para la Cultura y las Artes de Cancún, which is the most important cultural movement in our city, and Dolphin Discovery, a company widely recognized for its commitment to social responsibility. We invite the public to join in and also be part of this movement”.
The “Water Music” concert will be performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Cancún, under the baton of Mr. Luis Sergio Hernández, renowned violinist and director of choirs and orchestra, on Friday, March 20th, at 8:30 pm, at the Cancun Theater. The program includes: Aquatic Music (G. Händel), Orchestral Suite No.3 (J. Bach), and the Concerto for Cornos (G. Telemann). As invited soloists, there will be the participation of the Masters Carlos Torres and Jaime Ríos.
It is important to mention that the work “Water Music”, a composition by Georg Friedrich Händel, was premiered on July 17, 1717, at the request of King George I to be performed on the Támesis river. The concert was given by fifty musicians on a barge sailing near the king’s boat, and the king is said to have been so pleased that the play had to be performed three times during the voyage.
