Cancun, Quintana Roo on November 25th, 2019.- Dolphin Discovery Cozumel hosted a dinner that was offered on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the decree of the town of San Miguel de Cozumel. The municipal president, Pedro Joaquín Delbouis and Eduardo Albor, CEO of Grupo Dolphin, with Velio Vivas, Life Chronicler of Cozumel Island, Veudi Vivas, Historian of Cozumel Island, and Guadalupe Jiménez, Director of Human Value of Grupo Dolphin, inaugurated the event with a few words of recognition and thanks to the island.
The event was attended by councilors, members of the DIF and the City Council of Cozumel, who enjoyed a typical Yucatecan dinner and split a cake that simulated the geography of the island with dolphins coming out of the sea.
During the evening and with the participation of the attendees, the amount of 7 thousand pesos was collected for the benefit of the Cozumel DIF, which was delivered to Mary Mar Abad, President of the Cozumel DIF. All those who made donations participated in the raffle of a swim with dolphins for four people in Dolphin Discovery, a double dinner at The High Experience and a trip; who won the jackpot was Mr. Pedro Hermosillo López, Director of Tourism and Economic Development, who received a trip to Vallarta.
The Municipal President, Mr. Pedro Joaquín Delbouis, granted Mr. Eduardo Albor recognition for the Dolphin Discovery I.A.P. for its commitment to the community, as well as its efforts to improve the quality of life of children in Mexico and the Caribbean.
In 1998, Dolphin Discovery began its activities on the island of Cozumel, was rebuilt because of the destruction caused by Hurricane Wilma and is currently home of 24 dolphins, 4 sea lions and 4 manatees that provide wonderful experiences to guests who visit it.
