Aquarium Reintegrated 13 Magellanic Penguins into the Sea

This July 2nd, the Marine Fauna Rehabilitation Center (CFRM in Spanish) of our Aquarium Mar del Plata, in Argentina, reinserted thirteen Magellanic Penguins into the sea.

The specimens, which arrived from different beaches near the Park, remained for about 60 days at the CRFM in the care of  Biologists, Veterinarians, and the Technical Team. Thanks to their joint work these Penguins were rescued, rehabilitated, and returned to the wild life.

The CRFM was created in 1994 and since then has dedicated its efforts to promoting research, education, and environmental protection. Since its foundation, more than 5,000 animals have been rehabilitated.

The reinsertion of the specimens took place on the beach of the Aquarium Park. We are very proud of these initiatives, as they allow us to reinforce our commitment to Animal Welfare and help give a second chance to several species.
