The 10th meeting of the ASO-Turtle Network of which we are members through the Aquarium Mar del Plata Marine Fauna Rehabilitation Center (CRFMA, for its acronym in spanish) was recently held. And during this meeting, the IX Conference on Conservation and Research of Sea Turtles of the Western South Atlantic was held.
Since 2003, the ASO-Turtle Network brings together research groups from three countries: Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, and is of utmost importance since it is a feeding, development and migratory corridor for 5 of the 7 species of sea turtles in the world.
During this international meeting we had the opportunity to present the results achieved on the “Readaptation of the sea turtle Jorge to its natural conditions”, which demonstrates all the efforts that our Specialists and Veterinarians had to make until his health was sufficiently optimal. to reconsider their reintegration into the wild.
