Mar del Plata, Argentina , August 6, 2020. Since the beginning of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, our Biologists, Veterinarians and Specialists in Marine Mammals remained dedicated to the care and welfare of animals, as well as attentive to the calls of situations of marine animals, which appeared stranded in the coasts.
The Aquarium Marine Fauna Rehabilitation Center was particularly active during this period of health contingency.
A leopard seal, 2 sea lions, 2 penguins and a turtle were rescued and transported to the Marine Fauna Rehabilitation Center for diagnosis. Each animal had different health problems and treatment was given accordingly.
These rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration actions require human resources, food, medicines and logistics. Thanks to the knowledge that our Specialists and Veterinarians have, we can help wild animals who are sick and in danger.
