Loving is Caring celebrates seven years of helping dogs and cats in the State

Cancún, Quintana Roo on July 1st, 2024.- Loving is Caring, the responsible pet ownership campaign of The Dolphin Company, a park operator with a global presence, celebrates seven years of helping dogs and cats in vulnerable situations through the donation of resources that cover various needs of several shelters in Quintana Roo.

Since 2017, Loving is Caring has offered low-cost identification tags for dogs and cats so that, if they get lost, they can return home and avoid becoming part of the State’s stray fauna. All donations raised through the production of these tags are donated in full to the sterilization, feeding and veterinary care of pets in shelters and on the streets.

Below are the achievements that Loving is Caring campaign has obtained over these seven years:

  • Delivery of more than 18,500 identification tags
  • Donation of more than 8 tons of food
  • Sterilization of more than 600 pets
  • Participation in more than 190 events
  • Awareness of more than 6,300 followers on social networks about pet care

“The shelters in our city need a lot of support, we as Loving is Caring do our best to help them cover some of the basic needs, but the greatest support can be given by people by carrying out small actions that make big changes such as sterilizing their pet and putting a tag on it, not abandoning it on the street and adopting instead of buying, only in this way will we help improve the well-being of homeless dogs and cats”, said Cecilia Aguilar, Public Relations Manager of The Dolphin Company.

To obtain one or more identification tags for their pets, people interested in contributing to the campaign must request an appointment through Loving is Caring’s social networks. Once the day and time have been set, they can go to The Dolphin Company‘s offices to deliver the donation corresponding to $30 pesos or more per tag and receive the requested tag(s).

Loving is Caring announced that it will diversify its offer of pet products by adding collars of various colors and designs, each for a donation of $75 pesos in the case of dog collars and $50 pesos for cat collars. It also mentioned that there is the possibility of offering additional products such as toys and stickers with the designs of various breeds so that people can choose the one that most resembles their pet.
