We Were Internationally Recognized for Animal Training and Care

We are very excited to announce that we won a major award at the International Marine Animal Trainers Association (IMATA) annual conference this month in Atlanta, Georgia, that this year was held in collaboration with the Alliance for the Animal Behavior Management (ABMA).

We received first place in the ‘Educational Impact’ category for the presentation “One Glide Ahead”, a work from our Zoomarine park in Italy in which, for the first time ever, a flying squirrel or sugarcane glide (Petaurus breviceps ) voluntarily allowed x-rays to be taken.

Similarly, during the conference we made a second presentation, in which our experts spoke about the conditioning of the Caribbean manatee and how we have contributed to the preservation of the species, assisting in the birth of 11 calves that have been born under our care at through the breeding program ‘Miracle’.

We are very proud to continue participating in this conference and to have obtained 22 awards in categories such as training, education, medical care, conservation, among others, demonstrating our firm commitment to contribute and promote environmental education, inclusion, care, and conservation. of species, not only those that live under our care, but also those found in the wild.
