World Environmental Education Day Commemoration

Cancun, Quintana Roo on January 25th, 2023 – Today, The Dolphin Company, a worldwide park operator, commemorated the World Environmental Education Day with a free event during which the puppet plays: ‘Mother Nature’ and ‘The Ocean Adventures of Pinni, Tursi and Mydas’ were presented at the Teatro de la Ciudad de Playa del Carmen.

World Environmental Education Day is commemorated every year on January 26 to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the environment and the species that inhabit it, encouraging people to take small actions that contribute to the planet with significant changes.

Between 600 and 700 children and adults from more than ten different schools and the general public attended the event and enjoyed these original works, one belonging to Alejandro Herrera of the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF Solidaridad), and the other to Donna Kassewitz of The Dolphin Company.

“We are happy about this event; environmental education is part of the mission of The Dolphin Company, so through our program “To Love is to Educate” we have been raising awareness about the care of our planet through innovative and fun activities for several years. We are proud to announce that this was a free event, open to the general public who did not hesitate to come and enjoy these beautiful works with an environmental message”, said Paula Lomán, Environmental Education Coordinator of The Dolphin Company.

The Dolphin Company thanked Adriana Cazales and Rosita Escobedo, General Director and Honorary President of the National System for Integral Family Development (DIF Solidaridad), respectively, for their support. Likewise, they thanked Rosa Valdéz, Director of the Teatro de la Ciudad de Playa del Carmen, for her support.
