We successfully concluded the cycle of inclusive conferences that we held at the Ka’Yok’ Planetarium in Cancun as part of the commemorative activities for International Manatee Day.
We received more than 200 boys, girls, adolescents and adults in a cycle of conferences in which topics were taught that inspired those present to contribute to the conservation of the Manatee, a species that unfortunately is in danger of extinction.
It was an inclusive event in which around 50% of the attendees had visual, motor and/or hearing disabilities. The more than 200 attendees were able to enjoy the content of the conferences and the didactic materials, since there was educational material in braille, a sign language interpreter and sensory material that allowed visitors to feel textures that allowed them to imagine how the various parts of a manatee are felt.
