Cancun, Quintana Roo on September 3rd, 2019.- In a press conference, Grupo Dolphin announced for the third consecutive year the celebration of the “International Manatee Day”, during which a cycle of conferences will be held, among other activities, whose main theme is the care and conservation of manatees and their environment.
This year, the celebration will include various activities during the month of September:
PROGRAM
Sunday September 8
- Traveling exhibition and an environmental awareness rally from 16:00 to 18:00 hrs in Puerto Cancún.
Monday September 9
- Mangrove cleaning at 8:00 hrs in Isla Mujeres.
- Traveling exhibition at 13:00 hrs in Universidad del Caribe.
Thursday September 12th, the main celebration activity will take place.

“For Grupo Dolphin the objective of this annual event is very important since it is focused on raising awareness in people about the care that these endangered mammals require. With this celebration we go beyond taking care of them in our facilities, with the support of our qualified specialists and veterinarians, we will carry out actions that strengthen our effort for the conservation of the species, we will deliver a series of talks and activities that encourage empathy and affection for manatees” said Rosy Cerrillos, Manager of Marine Mammal Specialists at Grupo Dolphin.
This is one of the activities that Grupo Dolphin carries out as a Socially Responsible Company and in which it shares valuable information that it has obtained from the constant research it carries out and that contributes to the care of the specimens that inhabit wildlife.
